CLOUDS WILL LEAD TO SHOWERS SUNDAY FORECAST DISCUSSION: The clouds are back and soon the raindrops will follow. There have been a few light snow showers in Western Maryland this morning. Those flurry chances will move across the Panhandle of West Virginia and Northern Maryland. Temperature are just above freezing so no accumulations are forecast. In the DC Metro, there may be a few sprinkles of light rain today with rain/sprinkle chances increasing after sunset. The clouds will hold temps in the 40s this afternoon. Rain will move into the area overnight and will impact both the morning and the afternoon commutes on Monday with temps in the 40s all day. A strong cold front will pass by on Monday night ushering in some bitter cold conditions. Highs on Tuesday will barely make the mid 30s - which is more than 20° colder than average. In addition to the cold will be the wind. Wind chills on Tuesday and Wednesday will stay in the 10s and 20s all day. Start looking for those heavy winter coats - youre going to need them. The bitter cold will relax by late in the week but temperatures will stay well below average all the way into next weekend.
