CLUB NEWSLETTER - 31st JULY SENIOR REPORT - SAT 27th JULY Unfortunately our Premiers couldn’t finish the season with some silverware, going down to Waitemata in the Jubilee Cup Semi-Final 29-34. With a few key players out injured it was always going to be tough against a big Waitemata pack. Overall the Premier side showedthis year in a tight competition that they will be stronger come 2014. Reserves lost the Plate Semi-Final to Suburbs 16-30. U21s turned around their close quarter final loss last week to beat Eden at home 42-18. They now come up against Waitemata at home this Saturday in the Plate Final. Congratulations to our U20s who went through their Top 6 Championship round unbeaten and now face University in the first ever U20s Cup Final on Sat at Eden Park #2 at 1pm. They outclassed Marist on their home soil 20-3 and showed why they should be in this final. It would be great CR supporters come out in force at the final to witness first hand the young talent coming through the club. Bombers collected another great win beating Pakuranga 31-7 and they stay top of the table. Raiders won by default against University Shooters. Our Shooters beat Suburbs with a solid performance in their last game of the round winning 24-15 and now face Pakuranga in the Bowl Semi this weekend. Women’s and First Grade completed their bye round with the Women’s making the top four and playing Waikato in the semi-final at home at 1pm on our home ground. A great achievement with a lot of young talent coming through. Hopefully we can get a great win and send this young team to the women’s final next week. This weekend we need all the support for our teams especially if you can get out to our Under 20s final at Eden Park on Number 2 at 1pm and also our women’s major semi-final at home at 1pm against Waikato. Our 21s play in the plate final against Waitemata at home on Number 1 kicking off at 12.30pm.
