CM J&K Honble omar abdullah announced yesterday the compensation amount for the rape victims ..Rs. 3 lakhs for custodial rape..and 2 lakhs for all other "categories".. horrible and disgusting..never knew dignity of a woman could be classified in money terms..it wud have been more prudent to decide the amount of compensation on the basis of seriousness of rape rather than where it happened... i wonder when the people sitting on responsible positions will start thinking rationally and stop coming out with buffoonish ideas like these
