CNF Vacancy Announcement: Consultant, Support to PA Maintenance Planning and Implementation, Georgia Consultancy details: Position full title: Consultant to support the standardization of maintenance planning and implementation for CNF-supported Protected Areas (PAs) in Georgia Organization: CNF Caucasus Nature Fund Location: Tbilisi - Agency of Protected Areas (APA), Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Protection of Georgia (MoENRP), with frequent travel to selected PAs Submission deadline: COB Tbilisi, Georgia (UTC/GMT +4h) on 30 December 2014 Summary scope of work: - Prepare standardized procedures and outline for individual PA Maintenance Planning & Implementation Plans (MPIPs). - Support PA staff in preparing MPIPs according to the standardized procedures and outline. - Develop a guidance scheme for APA to conduct centralized procurement tenders for maintenance services, works and/or supplies. - Provide practical consultancy support to APA on conducting centralized procurement tenders. - Develop recommendations for planning and conducting “grouped” tenders. - Preparing recommendations for a standardized procurement roster of companies and/or organizations pre-selected to provide services, works and/or supplies for maintenance, and support APA in conducting the tender and filling of the roster database. - Conduct a preparatory analysis to standardize design specifications for planned PA infrastructure. Required qualifications: - Bachelor Degree in a discipline relevant to the consultancy. Master Degree is an advantage. - At least 5 years of relevant professional experience. - At least 7 years relevant experience in the practical and/or oversight management of individual PAs or national/regional PA systems, in Georgia or the South Caucasus countries. - Excellent knowledge of / fluent in Georgian, good knowledge of English and/or Russian. - Available for travel to/within Georgia, to Tbilisi and selected CNF-supported PAs or other locations as deemed needed by the CNF.
