CNG and PNG prices have been revised in Delhi, Noida and Ghaziabad by the IGL, whereas rates in Gurgaon remain the same because in Gurgaon another company supplies the gas that does not want any increase right now. It means CNG is cheaper in Gurgaon compared to Delhi, Noida and Ghaziabad. I do not know based on what mechanism, the rates are increased. Once the CNG was made dearer by whopping Rs5 a few months earlier. Even when the dollar was stable , even then the rates were changed upwards. IGL authorities must weigh the aftereffects of repeated increases on the general public and there should be some set period of time by which the rates should be changed.
