CO - The state Department of Agriculture says selling meat or poultry requires federal oversight and police have given Toole 30 days to relocate all but six chickens. Joan Poster, a Westport veterinarian who runs her own farm and has diagnosed some pigs with pneumonia. She hopes to find sanctuary for the animals. Toole says he is “desperately looking to avoid” butchering his animals but adds that it doesn’t make sense to give away a goat for nothing.
