CO2 being dissolved into the ocean makes it become more and more - TopicsExpress

CO2 being dissolved into the ocean makes it become more and more acid; less neutral, less alkaline. One really good thing about plankton is it eats CO2 and gives off oxygen. And we DO like to breathe our oxygen. Without plankton in the oceans to do that, our waters might become so acid that shell fish, crabs, lobsters and other creatures with exoskeletons could not exist in them. How acidic IS that? We humans like a nice balance between acid and alkaline. If stepping into the ocean dissolved our skin, we wouldnt like that. So rule out swimming if our oceans become VERY acidic. Global climate change is not the only problem we have created with use of carbon based fossil fuels to supply most of our energy. Fortunately the author of the universe gave each of us a brain to use.
