COACHES/PARENTS MARK YOUR CALENDARS – WHAT: UNIFORM/EQUIPMENT COLLECTION WHEN: SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 16, 2013 from 2-4 pm WHERE: FIRMAN ROAD EQUIPMENT LOCKER NEXT TO CONCESSION STAND As some of you may know, I have taken over the position as President of the Harbor Creek Little League. Additionally, there are also a number of others who have taken positions on the Board that you all should be aware of: BJ Moon Exec. Vice President Rich Rocky VP of Baseball William Kieklak VP of Softball Greg Best Equipment Rich Rocky Fields We, along with the remaining active Board Members, will continue to provide an affordable, fun and enjoyable environment for ALL children to learn and play the wonderful game of softball/baseball. Having said that, one of things that effects our costs to run the League and your cost to participate in the League is the annual replacement of equipment/uniforms that are never returned at the end of the year. Unfortunately, this year is no different. Currently, approximately ½ of our uniforms/equipment have not been returned to the League. Without getting into why they have not been returned, I have decided to have a League wide uniform/equipment turn in day for coaches and parents to return any and all uniforms/equipment back to the League. SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 16, 2013 from 2-4 pm at Firman Road Concession Stand. Here is what I would like from both coaches and parents: COACHES: 1) Contact all of your players from last year and determine if they have turned in uniform; 2) If not, make arrangements to get that uniform; 3) Show up on Saturday, November 16, 2013 between 2-4 pm with your equipment and uniforms that you have collected. If you were unable to get some of your uniforms, please provide a list with your uniforms of the names of the player(s) who you were unable to get a uniform back from so that we can continue to try to retrieve those uniforms. WHAT I DON’T WANT IS A LIST OF PLAYERS WHO YOU NEVER CONTACTED AND THEREFORE NEVER GOT THEIR UNIFORM. YOU NEED TO MAKE AN ATTEMPT TO GET THESE UNIFORMS. PARENTS: 1) If you turned in your uniform to your coach already, contact him/her and make sure he/she has it and/or has turned it in; 2) If you still have your son or daughter’s uniform from last year, please contact last year’s coach and make arrangements to get it to him/her; 3) If that doesn’t work, please come to FIRMAN FIELD CONCESSION STAND on SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 16, 2013 between 2-4 pm and turn it in; 4) If for whatever reason that day and/or time does not work for you and you can’t get a time with your coach, then contact me by email at bfife1@roadrunner and I will make arrangements to get your uniform from you. As a whole, there is no reason why we can’t have every uniform and every piece of equipment turned in by NOVEMBER 16, 2013. I have given everyone ample time to make the necessary arrangements to turn in the uniforms. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. Bryan D. Fife
