COASTAL FLOOD WARNINGS NOW UP FOR TONIGHT On the plus side, were in between a new and full moon(lower astronomical tides), and only have one high tide cycle to be concerned with(tonights high tide, just after midnight). Well also have more of a northerly wind by then, not as bad as a northeast wind at promoting tidal flooding. But nevertheless, a strong coastal storm will bring at least the one round of widespread minor with pockets of moderate tidal flooding to our island and back/Delaware bay communities overnight. High tide is around 1am on the ocean, 2-3am along the back and Delaware Bays. Coastal residents, you know the drill. As winds shift to the northwest tomorrow, the tidal flooding threat should wane.
