He was uncomfortable during handling and became stiff during the look item. Palomino kept pulling away and attempted to bite the assessor while being positioned for the sensitivity item. The remaining handling items were omitted due to safety concerns. He showed no interest in food, toys, or rawhides; so food/resource guarding is inconclusive. Palomino approached the helper dog with stiff body language, paused, lunged, and then attempted to bite during the dog-to-dog interaction. Palomino is not tolerating handling at this time. The behavior department feels that placement through a New Hope partner is the best option. Look: 2 Dog holds gaze with stiff body. His mouth is closed, his ears are back, and tail is down.
