COL. OKUH:THE TERROR OF ZARIA The identity of the army officer behind the gruesome murder of protesters in Zaria last wk has bn unmasked,thanks to investigative journalism by Weekly Trust newspaper.He is Lieutnant Colonel S O Okuh.Mr Okuh is the commander of 11 Field Engineer Regiment,Basawa Baracks,Zaria. Okuh is a terror in Zaria.For example,a fuel station manager who told Okuh the station had run out fuel whn the commander went there for re- fuelling was arrested,taken to the barracks & tortured on Okuhs orders.And he once made some muslim worshippers frog jump for obstructing his movement after Juma@ prayer.Mr Okuh has bn telling people that he was transfered to Zaria ahead of the 2015 elections to contain whatever crisis may ensue after the election.Okuh is Ijaw.He openly boasts of his capacity to commit murder without consquence. In the Zaria protest,33 people were killed including 3 siblings from the same parents!One Mr Nyanwu,68,who was outraged by the killings & cautioned the soldiers over it was himself shot dead by Okuhs men.A lady who rushed to Mr Nyanwu apparently to giv him first aid was also shot by the rampaging soldiers.She is now recuperating @ an hospital in Zaria. Okuh,no doubt must belong to Jonathans dreaded Killer Squad.But he should go about his assignment with finesse lest he bites off more than he can chew.The people of Zaria cannot be intimidated into silence should their electoral wishes be subverted.
