COLD WIND BLOWING TODAY SUNDAY FORECAST DISCUSSION: A strong Northwest wind continues to drive ever-colder air into the Mid-Atlantic. Temperatures will struggle to get out of the 40s this afternoon and wind chills will hover in the 30s. Bundle up. The good news is that the wind will diminish after sunset. The bad news is that a light wind will actually help temperatures fall even faster once the sun goes down - which happens at 5:07pm today thanks to the return of standard time. Freeze Warnings have been posted for locations to the West of I-95 and Frost advisories are up for DC, Arlington, Charles and Prince Georges counties. The Western suburbs will see temperatures in the mid/upper 20s by Monday morning. Milder weather will begin to return on Monday afternoon with highs near 60. Tuesday is Election Day and the weather will be very cooperative - sunny and pleasant - so get out and vote. Our next chance for rain arrives early Thursday and should be gone by midday on Friday. Have a great week.
