COLDWATER CARDINAL FOOTBALL TEAM, AND ALUMNI: SITTING HERE IN BENTON HARBOR MICHIGAN WAITING TO GET UNLOADED: Trying to do some recruiting for you all on your opponent, STEVENSVILLE LAKESHORE, former CARDINAL TEAMMATE- DAVID LYNBURNER, who lives here in the area was not a lot of help, saying this in a nice way, lmao! Remember practicing against Dave at a 100 pounds soak & wet back then! I got knocked around like a punching bag hanging from the rafters of a barn. 196 today, sure Lynburner would lay a solid hit to this day. Anyways cardinal fans, the STEVENSVILLE TEAM has a 7-2 record what Iam told, 1 of the defeats comming at the hands of a high powered ST JOE TEAM. They are a well rounded team offensively & defensively. So CARDINALS!!! Come over here, lay it all on the line, play your game, no mistakes or turnovers! Be aggressive! Control time of possession. Very winnable game! No matter the outcome Friday night, win or lose, were a huge Cardinal family, were proud of you, took 23 years for CARDINAL COUNTRY to see a winning football team. Not sure what year the playoff system came into effect, but your the first team from Coldwater to succeed! CONGRADULATIONS. We have won several CHAMPIONSHIPS in the old TWIN VALLEY CONFERENCE, but there were no playoffs at the time. SENIORS remember Friday nights game, MEMORABLE SEASON!!! Somthing no one can ever take from you. JUNIORS & SOPHOMORES, you have great futures remaining in your high school careers, build on with the successful JUNIOR VARSITY TEAM, and keep COLDWATER FOOTBALL on a top level for years to come. When the final whistle does blow on your season, hug all your senior players, just never know when you will ever see them again! Thank them for their leadeship, you are family, be proud!
