COM....COMMUN.......COMMUNICAT..... COMMUNICATIONS!! This is the second time a young politician has been put in charge of communications and failed to impress those who gave them the opportunity! First it was Ablakwa the Non-Communicator, then Vickie the Over-Communicator. Forgive me for stepping on your toes but..... its the size of my shoes>>> Communication at a ministerial level goes beyond local press conferences, speaking for the president or defending the partys actions in the media. 70% of real communication work at government level should be focused on COMMUNICATING GHANA TO THE WORLD and NOT communicating the president and his party to opponents and the locals political enthusiast We, the young politicians have a duty to prove to ourselves, those who give us a chance and the citizens, that we are worth the noise we make about knowing what is best for this country. Its obvious now, that when it comes to political appointments, the recruitment criteria applied is nothing compared to what private companies apply - because companies see the recruitment as an investment that must yield returns whilst our politicians think of it as afterall, we wont be paying them with our money After 2 failed Deputy Communications Minister roles, I hope the right questions are asked: (1) What exactly is the job description for this role? (2) Are we matching the above to the appropriate skills and expertise? (3) What the HECK is the substantive Minister for communications doing? #Manage #Ghana like a #Business
