WOD FOR RODS Racing for Orphans with Down Syndrome Saturday, 9 a.m., December 13, 2014 Carolina CrossFit, 1825 Laurel Street, Columbia, SC DONATION: $20+ Following the WOD (workout of the day) Velocity Distance Project – Downtown will be raffling off great prizes to include shoes, apparel, sport watches, meal bars by the box, and more, for those registered. For every $20 donation a person makes, they will receive one raffle ticket (Example: $100 donation = 5 raffle tickets). If you are unable to attend, yet still make a minimum of a $20 donation, you will still have your name on one raffle ticket for every $20 donated. If you are not present, and you win a raffle prize, it will be mailed to you. WHY IS THIS BEING HELD: Between January 8 – 11, 2015, Dave Hale will be competing in the Disney Marathon Dopey Challenge to raise money for Racing for Orphans with Down Syndrome (RODS), with a goal to raise $3,000. The Dopey Challenge is a series of races (5K, 10K, Half Marathon, Full Marathon) held over a 4-day period within the Disney World theme parks in Orlando, FL. WHO IS RODS? RODS was launched with the motivation of knowing that hundreds of orphans with Down syndrome were waiting for a family to find them. RODS purpose is to create awareness for these special children and raise funding that will go towards making what seemed like a distant dream of having a family of their own become a reality, one child at a time. HOW TO REGISTER: Click on the below link which will bring you to the direct donation page. Submit at least a $20 donation and you will be registered for the WOD FOR RODS. Print off the donation receipt that will be emailed to you and bring that with you to the WOD FOR RODS event as proof of your donation.
