COMFORT SONGS, DAY #14 During these darkening days (fewer hours of light AND a waning moon), heres a sweet little ditty and note of encouragement... (Dont) Tremble by The Low Anthem * * * My DECEMBER YOGA CLASS FOCUS is COMFORT. It just seems...well...necessary. Typical winter/holiday dichotomies are tugging our energy (should I enjoy solitude/hibernation/natures womb, or, should I join the party/socializing/shopping craze?), daylight is waning and nights are longer, socio-political events are sparking a fire like no other winter I can recall from my 49 years on this planet, and, maybe there is some personal sadness, too... Winter can feel like a dark, dark time... (...and, oh my gosh - its not even officially winter yet!) So, I rely on my practice, I look to the growing glow of a soon-to-be Full Moon (editors note: and now, I embrace the opportunity for observing my shadows under the approaching New Moon), I enjoy houses holiday lights, I stay connected to a warm circle of friends...and, I lean on comforting music.
