COMING SOON!! ANOTHER BIG-BOX HOUSE, in YOUR neighborhood...this HUGE house is being built about 10 feet from the now destroyed sidewalk. At 4th Street South and 7th Avenue. It is rumored that the citys downtown residential 25foot front set backs were abandoned during the Joe Ayoub administration, and this is why we have Huge Ugly Buildings (HUBs) popping up around the city, crowding the sidewalks... So...when are reasonable front set-backs going to be reinstated as a condition for a building permit? When is the City of Safety Harbors Planning and Zoning Board going to adopt GUIDELINES FOR INFILL HOUSING that will protect our older neighborhoods from these monsters? (By limiting the size, and controlling the architecture, so that new homes are compatible with the existing homes.) Oh? Maybe never, not so long as the builders, Realtors and developers dominate the Planning and Zoning Board. Send a message to the city commissioners about cleaning up the Planning and Zoning Board. BTW several very large trees were killed to make room for this house.
