COMMUNITIES NEAR AND FAR ARE RALLYING FOR TEAM MAX Our 8-year-old hero Max is not feeling well today. He remains hospitalized after a bone marrow transplant for leukemia and is experiencing serious side effects, including a fever, a persistent cough, vomiting, and kidney problems. We have received many inquiries as to how he is doing. People are sending love and prayers. Our youth volunteers are making signs featuring his photo to be used in the San Gennaro Parade. This little boy has captured the heart of communities near and far. We are sending Max and all our children in similar predicaments--as well as their families--love, hope, and prayers. Their pain is our pain. Their suffering is our suffering. We hold out hope for all of these brave children. They live in our hearts. xo
