COMMUNITY ADVISORY: Camp Roberts Training Event May Increase Traffic CAMP ROBERTS, Calif. – Several thousand California Army National Guard soldiers will train at Camp Roberts throughout June as part of the largest Cal Guard consolidated training event in more than a decade. The June 6-22 exercises will generate increased traffic on roads near Camp Roberts, as well as a potential increase in noise from helicopters and other aircraft. During June, vehicles will enter Camp Roberts through a gate on San Marcos Road in San Miguel, which has not been used for military traffic in recent years. Homeowners and ranchers who use this winding, two-lane road should be prepared for potential traffic delays. Traffic also may be increased at the base entrance near Highway 101’s Exit 241 in San Miguel.
