COMMUNITY SERVICE REQUIRES FOLDING SLEEVES: Yesterday as Uganda - TopicsExpress

COMMUNITY SERVICE REQUIRES FOLDING SLEEVES: Yesterday as Uganda Cranes tussled it out with Ghana, I wasnt there to watch the game as Cranes secured the much needed victory, I was busy serving the Community deep in Katerera County. The heavy rains found me there and I had to fold sleeves and walk because the road was terrible. When I raised the issue recently to my current Member of Parliament, he told me on social media that, May be you dont live there. Then I wondered and asked myself Why do we elect leaders who have less concern about the challenges we face? Today at Church, the District Woman MP said, a man insulted her yesterday because of the same road and she was bitter and responded, you contest in 2016 and I will campaign for you. That level of arrogance is a common characteristic of our leaders today. The citizens have a right to demand what rightfully belongs to them because they first of all Vote and secondly, they pay taxes. In return they expect good roads, better health facilities, better schools among others. See the current state of the road in Katerera Constituency in the pictures I shot yesterday and today morning.
