COMPASSIONATE CHRIST “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” (1Peter 5: 7) While Christ was on earth, He did everything to reveal God to man. One of the fundamental revelations from Christ was that God is loving. A writer once affirmed that what cut him to the heart and drew him to God was the statement, ‘Jesus loves you’. He never knew before then that somebody cared for and loved him because he never enjoyed these from his parents. Youths with difficulties in their studies may feel disgruntled and hopeless, thinking that nobody cares. There could be times that unstable health condition or inadequate finances may tend to suggest to our feeble mind that God does not care for us. In any situation you may find yourself in life, one important fact you must constantly recall is that Jesus cares for you. Youths are in God’s programme for this age. Jesus cares for little children. Believing youths need not bear their burdens alone. Even sinning youths can come to Jesus Christ for relief and rest from their heavy burden. Challenge: Our God is compassionate.
