COMPLAINT SYNDROME Walking through life, I am sure there are things that irritate, confuse, and disorganize your perception of what you want for yourself. Most times, rather than clinically view these situations and see how to handle them, you let yourself fall into the trap of complaining and complaining about them. Things that you could change if you would stop feeling sorry for yourself long enough to do something about them. For example, if you are lonely, you can make the effort to be a friend to some else. You can choose to be free or remain in bondage to self-pity (some of you like the pity party that seeks to drown you). You can choose to be pitiful or powerful. You can choose to critically look at that relationship and decide to make some changes. You are in a job that makes you feel ‘ill’ every time you get ready for work, but the security of a steady income is keeping you bond there. Okay, but is that your only option? Is fear behind it? A fear to launch out into that ‘vision’ you have so clearly defined in your mind but are afraid of the uncertainty of pursuing it! You are in a relationship – not married yet but its ‘draining’ your emotions! Do you need to continue to hang on to it? You feel that’s your best option. Really? But rather than do something about these issues, at every given opportunity, you complain and complain. That can be said to be a ‘double-minded’ situation. You don’t like your situation but you are afraid to do something about it. Fear limits and puts you in bondage – not to talk about moving you from the radar of God’s purpose for your life. Most times it’s not the situation that is frustrating you but your own perception of the situation. The way forward is to be clear about what you want. What you need to do and how you should go about it. It takes strength to make a decision and then take the step required. But if you bring God into the equation, He will show you the path to go so that you might have the peace that is your covenant right. Pray: 1. Father, give me the boldness of the Lion of the Tribe of Judah that is my covenant right. 2. Father, grant me the grace to make decisions that will impact positively in my life. 3. Ever spirit of complaint that has taken root, be uprooted in Jesus name 4. I receive a clear mind and ability to make sound judgments. Read n meditate: Psalm 25:112 - 14 Laila Stmd RAPT – 17/06
