‘COMPLETE TOLICHOWKI FLYOVER IN TWO MONTHS’ GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar on Tuesday directed engineer-in-chief and chief city planner of the corporation to complete Tolichowki flyover works within two months. He asked them to resolve the issues related to land acquisition for the flyover with concerned land acquisition officials to complete the works on priority basis. He expressed confidence that the officials would complete the works in a span of two months. Somesh-KumarThe commissioner along with Central Zone commissioner inspected the Tolichowki flyover. After the inspection he felt that the flyover construction works were leading to traffic problems in the busy Tolichowki area. Meanwhile, Somesh Kumar also held a meeting with valuation of officers, tax inspectors and bill collectors of the central zone and reviewed the status of property tax collections. He inquired about the status of property tax collection. He also directed the officials to double the tax collection this year while adding that the officials who would reach the target would be given double incentive. The commissioner further instructed the zonal commissioner and deputy commissioners to closely monitor with the tax wing and see that all the under assessed and un-assessed properties would be brought under the tax radar to improve the tax collections.
