CONFESSION: I hurriedly rushed into Wally World (A.K.A. Walmart) on the way into our church offices this morning as my husband just waited patiently for me since I was only grabbing a couple of items. As I approach the 20 item or L E S S isle.......I come up behind a sweet older man with his 6 or 7 small item, and a young woman with a loaded down (enough stuff for at least a week) basket! I began counting as she put one giant thing of paper towels, etc., etc. upon the counter......I got to about 13 items when a WalMart checker waived me over to a self check out stand where she began checking me out. I continued to watch as another lady took my place in the previous line with (1)....YES.....O N E.....can of Rotel Tomatoes!!!!!!!! She quickly looked around, and then moved on to a self check out lane. I, in a quiet voice, asked my checker if they have that (pointing to the girl that still had at least 100 (exaggerated) items left in her basket) happen all of the time? She said.....Well, actually she was sent over there from another lane because we are short handed today. I said, omgoodness.......I am glad you told me that because I have been irritated and judging her for stopping up the fast lane. My point in all of this is......I honestly feel like I am not a real judgemental person!!!! Ughhhhh My true heart was once again revealed to me.....YUCK!!!! How many times have I judged other things without thinking that I am judging at all.....not really knowing the real story behind whatever it is that I am supposedly NOT JUDGING. The rest of this day I have been humming this song, and is my hearts desire....................... Create in me a heart thats pure.....conquer the power of secret shame. Come wash away the guilty stain of all my sin! Thank you, Lord, for your Mercy & Grace!
