All your calls, sharing and signing of the petitions, to let Oregon politicians know that we will not allow pro-GMO, top-down laws that force the will of corporations upon our people and force our farmers into structures of servitude! Oregonians for Food and Shelter and the Oregon Farm Bureau are very powerful lobbies. Therefore, to see their bad-for-the-state-GMO ban preemption law go down in flames is an awesome testament to the POWER OF THE PEOPLE in supporting that fight. We got confirmation that the push back on SB633 from you and others was exponentially the single loudest message received this session - bar none. A big round of applause and shout out to all who helped. With the defeat of SB633, citizens of Jackson County Oregon can now vote for their local GMO crop ban in the May 2014 election.
