CONGRATULATIONS to the the newly appointed UNITECH Council members; Sir Nagora Bogan, Dr Musawe Sinebare, Paul Mawa, Dr Wari Iamo, Gynne Kekedo, Sam Penias, Ambassador Peter Safire and George Bopi. As a lecturer of Unitech, and an advocate of justice and good governance, I am extremely pleased with the composition/appointment of the new Council members with respect to their credentials and capabilities. The choice of Chairman/Chancellor, Sir nagora Bogen is a perfect one. Together with the ever determined and no nonsense VC Dr. Albert Schram, Unitechs lost integrity and controversies will be restored and redirected. I am sure Dr. Schram is now much more determined than ever to provide the much needed leadership so as to give new outlook and dimension to Unitech in all facets. All credit goes to the current students of Unitech for being bold, relentless and objective. Thank you also to those staff and others who stood by the students right through out the protest period. Finally, to the government ministers who have intervened to put an end to a saga that involves three different SRC presidents and over three academic years, you are also highly commended. May God bless Unitech and PNG.
