CONGRESS IS A VOICE OF COMMON PEOPLE AND A PRO-PEOPLE PARTY: SHABIR ADDRESSED PUBLIC MEETINGS AT GHALUTTI AND PANJGARAIN. Shabir Ahmed Khan Former Minister for Health and MLA Rajouri today conducted a series of meetings at Panjgarain , Ghalutti and sought votes for him on the basis of his performance. Khan in his address said that major developmental activities which were initiated by the Congress Government to provide comfort to the masses proved useful and public has been benefitted at large. Khan said that in these days those who have not even shown their faces in public for the last 6 years are running in the race just to distract the public and sought sympathy for them. He said that he is the only minister who remained in touch with his constituency every now and then to address their grievances. He maintained that state can be governed effectively only by a party which has secular vision and balance of mind in dealing with the all the three regions of the state. Khan said that political, social and economic aspirations with conviction and consistency can be ascertained only by the Indian National Congress. Khan highlighted his achievements like installing of above 130 transformers in Manjakote area including Kakora, Thanadikassi, Ghalutti, Ghambir Mughlan and many other areas and above 500 transformers of 25 KV and 63 KV in Rajouri constituency. Khan said a large no. of roads were brought under State sector/PMGSY and road connectivity from 21% was dragged to 71 % just in last six years, leaving no area untouched in the whole constituency. Khan said that people must recall the era of Azad, which must be written in Golden words in the history of the state. He asked the people to vote and support him just for the development of the region. Those works which could not be completed shall be taken up with pace to provide the comfort to the public. Khan said that creation of new administrative units at Ghambir Mughlan shall also benefit the public of adjoining area and it’s a matter of happiness for the people of Manjakote Tehsil that people need not to travel more that 10 kms to reach to the Niabat, Tehsil HQ and Blocks. Khan said that people must understand the wicked agenda of opposition parties, just to grab power for their vested interests. Khan admitted that people of the Rajouri are secular and shall not come under the influence of divisive forces, who are trying to divide the public on the name of region, religion & caste. Khan challenged that the overall development of state can be gauged by congress loving attitude of masses. He said only a strong Government with democratic authority can ensure peace and stability in the state and in a democratic setup people’s mandate is supreme and it has to be respected by one and all. Khan said his win will be win of poor people. He said that congress set a goal of healing physical, psychological and emotional wounds inflicted by violence, strive towards giving good governance, ensuring political stability and fulfilling expectations of the people. Congress vision is to bring transparency in the system, so that each and every individual of the state could feel his existence in the state. Congress aims to deliver corruption free environment, fast track employment avenues shall be provided to the unemployed youth of the state. Khan said that if he comes in power, no left over work shall remain untouched. Khan said that improvement in infrastructure and installation of water pumps all over the constituency must be compared with the rest of constituencies. He said that Congress takes the responsibility of free and easy access to the goods and commodities produced within the State and added that tariff-free movement of goods across J&K would give a huge boost to the economic activities in the state. Khan lastly asked the Congress workers to come forward and work hard for the elections and assured that the performance of the Congress is commendable and being a truly pro-people party congress is set to win a good no. of seats to form govt. in the state. The Sarpanches and Panches expressed their profound gratitude to Azad Sb Former Union Health Minister and patted local MLA for grant of Medical College and Health Sub-centres catering to a sizeable population of the entire hilly border and backward peer panchal range besides many roads and bridges. Other who spoke on the occasion were Ch. Jabbar, Nazir Chowdhary, Shafi Banyara, Latief Ch, Khadam Hussain Khan, Sarpanch Wazir Mohd, Mushtaq Khan, Gyas Khan and Molvi Gulzar Block President.
