CONGRESS TAKES SEVERAL STEPS TO EMPOWER PEOPLE : SHABIR ADDRESSED PUBLIC MEETINGS AT BEHROTE, NEILI AND MANHAS MOHALLA. Shabir Ahmed Khan Former Minister for Health and MLA Rajouri while continuing his campaign, conducted a series of meeting at Behrote, Neili and Manhas Mohalla in Rajouri Constituency. Addressing public gatherings at various places in view of Assembly elections, khan recalled the people that in order to bring prosperity, peace, brotherhood in the district in particular and state in general, Congress government took several steps to empower people politically and economically besides initiating measures to fulfill the demands of employees and unemployed. Khan said that Congress is committed to overall development of the state, especially hilly backward, remote and border areas. Khan appealed the public to strengthen the party in the best interest of the people of the State and area in particular. Cautioning the people of Pir Panjal Region to stand united against the conspiracies being hatched by outside forces like BJP, Shiv Sena to divide them, Local MLA said that Congress has given a sense of belonging and identity to the backward and neglected regions of the State. He said that those who don’t want this region of Pir Panjal range to flourish are plotting and conspiring against it by dividing the people on basis of caste, region & religion. Khan expressed hope and confidence, that people will see through the motives of vested interests and will re-assert itself to maintain its unity, strength as well as relevance in the State politics. Khan asserted that Congress is fighting the elections on the plank of development. Khan expressed his concern over the incidents taking place in Rajouri town from the last few days. Khan said those people who have nefarious designs in their mind, want to disrupt the peaceful environment and brotherhood among different sections of society. Khan said that such activities shall never be acceptable to any peace loving citizens and No one is above Law. Khan asked the District administration to take necessary steps at an earliest to put such miscreants behind the bars, so that people could live in peace. Congress ensures security of each and every citizen of the nation. Khan highlighted his achievements during his tenure as Minister and felt satisfied with his works. Khan challenged the leaders of various political parties to compare the development in the last six years, with the previous 30 years. The major projects were started in Rajouri constituency and Rajouri constituency was among top seven constituencies in respect of development, as per the survey. Exhorting the people to vote with unity and wisdom in favour of the party which has made them feel the benefits of development. Khan said that he takes pride in the fact that a ‘new paradigm’ of development was presented by Congress Party to the people of State in general and people of remote and backward areas in particular. Khan reiterated that improvement and enhancement of road network, Health institutions, Angadwari Centres, School Institutions are on the cards of Congress lead Government. Khan urged the youth to come forward to participate for the Cause of development. People are playing divisive politics and it’s the time to choose that Party which has the track record of initiating the developmental activities in this region. Khan said that said systematic and planned attempts by external forces have been made to disturb the atmosphere of peace & harmony in this region, adding that people of this region have the capability to see through the real designs of such elements. Pointing to the highest number of new administrative units in the region, khan said that it is the pressure and persuasion of Congress Party which made this possible for the whole region, adding further that he and his Party will continue to raise their voice for this border belt with greater resolve and Vigor in future as well. Khan was assured full support by the public of the areas and wished him Good luck for the coming assembly elections. All the sarpanches,Panchs and prominent persons of the area extended full support and assured MLA, his win in the coming assembly elections. Others who spoke on the occasion were Shakeel Mir, Gen.
