CONNECTICUT WEATHERS LATEST WEATHER DISCUSSION The break in the winter weather is about over as the arctic cold returns today into tonight with a new winter storm bringing a fresh snowfall to the state tomorrow into tomorrow night. The arctic front will cut through the state this afternoon with a few snow showers. The colder air will drop the temperatures through the afternoon from the highs in the lower 40s. The front will pass to the east tonight with a developing low-pressure area later tonight along the Virginia Coast. That low will move northeastward and spread snow over the region tomorrow with the snowfall becoming heavier and steadier through the day tomorrow. The air will be very cold so the water to snowfall ratios will be high making for a light and fluffy snowfall. The winds will increase as the storm intensifies and passes tomorrow night with a slow drop in the winds Wednesday with clearing skies. Very cold air will be enforced by the fresh snowcover and we will have highs struggling through the teens and lows in the single digits into the end of the week. The winds will add a dangerous wind chill from later tonight through Thursday morning. Meteorologist Bill Jacquemin
