CONSCIENCE! (Part 1) What is conscience? A motivation deriving logically from ethical or moral principles that govern a persons thoughts and actions. Conscience is like a watchdog that bark repeatedly each time there is suspicious behaviour or an unauthorised movement. Conscience can also be liken to a smart referee or an articulate linesman that blow whistle anytime a foul is committed in a football field. PURPOSE OF CONSCIENCE 1. To checkmate our actions and inactions 2. To guard us to do what is right at all times 3. It prevents us from doing what is wrong or sinful 4. Instilling the fear of God in our hearts 5. To increase righteousness and good works in our lives 6. For appraisal and self-examination on personal conducts 7. To help us reconcile our way of life to our maker; God. Etc. TYPES OF CONSCIENCE: Living conscience, Dead conscience, Weak conscience, Sick conscience, Seared conscience, Active conscience, Inactive conscience, Flagging conscience, Unflagging conscience, wicked conscience, Good conscience, Infectious conscience, Unstable conscience, Circumcised conscience, Uncircumcised conscience, etcetera TO BE CONTINUED TOMORROW. NOTE: Have you been ignoring the inner whistle of your conscience each time you are about to do evil? Pray that God should carry out divine surgery on your conscience today. HAVE A WONDERFUL TUESDAY!
