CONSPIRACY THEORY. A lot of the people who preach freedom are themselves not free. In the late 1500’s, everyone believed Aristotle’s claim that heavy objects fell faster than light ones. That is, everyone except Galileo. To test Aristotle’s claim, Galileo dropped two balls of differing weights from the Leaning Tower of Pisa. And guess what? They both hit the ground at the same time! For challenging Aristotle’s authority, Galileo was fired from his job. But for his place in history, he showed us that testing human claims should be the mediator of all truth. It’s easy to be hated for going against the group consensus, but that’s what makes champions. Some leaders don’t want to be questioned. They become defensive, arrogant or aggressive. They might threaten you, call you names or even attempt to turn everybody against you. It’s not always easy (for the sake of truth) to question strongly believed ideas when the majority is already convinced. THE TRUTH SHALL MAKE YOU FREE!! When you are no longer allowed to search objectively for the truth, you are participating in a world where mass deception is possible. Every strong leader was once a devoted follower who deviated from the beaten path. Truth liberates!!
