Take a 10 Question Quiz… Naturalization Test at constitutioncenter.org/constitution-day/ Dr. Jackson-Golden, Interim Department Chair Social and Behavioral Sciences Emails were sent to all faculty and staff notifying them of the institutional requirement for student engagement that focused on Commemorating Constitution Day and Citizenship Day. Classes: HIS357, HIS358, HIS256 & UCL300 –Professor E. Davis Objectives of activity: Constitution Day is an opportunity for ABC students to broaden their knowledge of the U.S. Constitution, with its short elegant language and its’ far reaching ramifications that have both shaped our history and our lives. I urged all students to take a close look at the resources given and from their own research for a quiz. Students were given 17 days to prepare for a 10 minute window where the Instructor asked questions directly from the U.S. Constitution. Students were given the 13th, 14th and 15th Amendment courtesy of a handout a week earlier. They were also notified of the other amendments highlighted that we would be quizzing them on. Those other amendments were the 16th, 19th, 26th and the first 10 or Bill of Rights. In the interest of fairness, I allowed only those with their hands-raised to answer questions related to the above amendments. Each answer was worth one (1) point, and the points were doubled only if it were harder. This was a great and engaging activity.
