CONSTRUCTING TEMPLE FOR ACTRESS KUSHBOO That day I was travelling in an electric train from Egmore to Tambaram (Chennai). Seven to eight Engineering College Students (boys and girls) of Anna University were travelling with me in that compartment. They talked many things including Cricket. One of them (an orthodex Iyengar boy) criticised the D/L method as bad practice. How they fix target for Srilanga to score 174 runs in 24 overs when India scored 119 runs in 28 overs andalso that it was not correct way for India entering into the final by backdoor of D/L method pushing aside of West Indies and SriLanka. Other boys and girls reacted sharply in different ways by quoting example from different games, politics and Puranas. IT is really a brainstorming session/group discussion. I surprised their in depth knowledge and analytical ability. I reproduce few items only and rest will come later. GOD himself set bad practices by doing following things during His Avtars, Ramayana and Mahabharatha. 1. During Rama Avtar, Rama killed Vali by hiding behind the tree during the fight between Sukriva and Vali. As true warrior and avtar of vishnu, His Act is bad practice. 2. As per Ramayana version, Rama loved Sita very much and lived as Ekapatini Purusan. Even now, parents give photo of Sita-Raman to their daughters as marriage gift during their marriage. But What Lord Rama did it. On hearing the dialogue between husband and wife at Dhobi Ghana during their quarrel about Sita’s status at Ashoka Vanam with Ravana, the Ekapatini virathan, Rama sent his pregnant wife Sita to the forest. Is it good character of a Husband? Is it not a bad practice by sending wife on hearing words of others. Why he has not applied His mind? What Lord Rama give message to the Public by His Action? Parents, please think about it when you give Sita-Raman photo to your daughters as gift during their marriage. But you look at the characters of Karna, Dhuriyodhana and his wife Banumathi(?). During the Chess game between Karna and Banumathi, when Banumathi stood up after seeing Dhuriyodhana arrival, Karna pulled her by saying as why were you running away while facing defeati. At that time, the pearls from Banumathi’s chain was broken and fell on the ground. Without doubting the integrity of Karna and Banumathi, Dhuriyodhana acted. Now tell = Who is the best Husband, Dhuriyodhana or Rama? 3. In Mahabharatha, When Dhuriyodhana and his brothers went to Pandava’s New Palace at Indira Prasad. This palace was tricky one. It was difficult to walk with normal naked eye. Without knowing this, Dhuriyodhana and his brothers had fallen down at so many places. The Host Pandavas didn’t help their Guests. Instead of helping, Pandava’s wife Draupathi laughed at them and passed sarcastic comments. Is it a way of treating the Guest? Is it not bad practice? 4. In Mahabharatha, Dharmaputhira and his brothers lost in their chess game by betting their wife Draupathi to Dhuriyodhana. Is it correct the highly educated Dharmaputhirar bet his wife in the game for want of money and power? Is it a good practice? 5. When Draupathy became a property of Dhuriyodhana and his brothers, they had every right to do. Dhuriyodhana asked his brother Thuchodhana to remove her sari. Brother of Dhuriyodhana obeyed his brother’s words. But we appreciate Rama and Lakshmana were the best example of true brotherlyhood!!!! And not Duriyodhana and Thuchodhana. 6. God should be example for evey action and doing. But in Mahabharatha, Lord Krishna was example for doing bad practices. Vi z., HE brainwashed Dharmaputhira to tell lie to kill Dhuronar by saying Dhurana’s son Aswathama died during the war? Is it good practice? Why God is doing such bad things? 7. To Kill Karna, Lord Krishna did so many practices. Viz., using Karna’s mother Kunthi Devi for not using Nagasuram for second time, using Indira to get Karna’s kavacham and kundalam, and finally he himself went as poor Brahmin to get Karna’s good deeds (dharmas). Whether God can do such cheating and can do such bad practices. 8. What was the relationship between Radha (wife of some one) and Lord Krishna. If Radha was the devotee of Krishna, why people are doing Radha Krishna Kalyanam? Is it not bad practice or message to the ordinary man.? Praying Navagraha is a laughing stock. One of the navagraha, Budhan (Mercury), was illegal child. He was born to the Wife of Guru Bhagavan and the Moon by illegal relationship. Just imagine What type of character is Moon? Why should we pray him? Is it not bad practice? One among the group spontaneously responded as just like constructing temple to Actress Kushboo, building statue for Kalaingar, Jagajivan Raman, Mayavathi, Lalu Prasad, performing abhisekam to Rajinikanth, Kamal, Ajit, Vijay Posters. Now the topic turned into politics, economics, food security bill, etc.
