CONTENTION: If money is not speech and thus should not be protected by the first amendment, then all who advance such an argument should support the NYTimes limiting itself to expending no more than $5,000.00 (reporter costs, editor costs, travel costs, printing costs, distribution costs) or so covering any given candidate in an election on its news or opinion pages. And before you say freedom of the press! remember - in todays day and age WE ARE ALL THE PRESS. What do you think social media is, anyway?
