CONTINUATION OF THE RULES REGARDING OUR TARIQA. As I said in my last post, we have FORTY RULES that EVERY TRUE MURID SHOULD Adhere to. Out of these FORTY RULES, TWENTY of it is On the MURID HIMSELF while the OTHER TWENTY is On the AWRAD. We have already Enumerated the first twenty Rules which Every Murid Should Apply on His day to day activities. Now lets Consider the Next Ten Rules which should be applied on the Awrads Antime we engages in Our Zikr. May Allah Protect this post against Riya’a . Know that the COMPLETE rules that is hanged on the Awrads are 1. One should Seat when Reciting His or Her Awrads with TOTAL CONCENTRATION by Placing His hands on his thighs and also Closing His Eyes because Closing of Ones Eyes is the Easiest way for the penetration of the Light of Zikr into Ones Heart. ie one should sit during azkar as he seat when doing the Tashahud in his salat. 2. One should Face Qibla when Reciting all His Awrads, be it Morning or Evening Zikr, Wazifa or Hailala, unless if the Person is Travelling in a car where He can face anywhere as the Vehicle changes Directions. 3. Picturing Sheikh Ahmad Tijani(ra) and Rasul Allah(saw) in the process of Reciting your Awrads. Now lets understand something here. The Reason why we are advised to picture Our Sheikh whiles Reciting Our Awrads is that, the whole Concept of Tariqa is getting Closer to Allah through discipline and Fear of Allah. Now to make it more PRACTICAL, Lets all go back to our Various Educational institutions be it the Universities or the Polytechnics’ or Colleges. Assuming You are a MATHEMATICS STUDENT . You will agree with me that, your greatest goal on campus is to Understand Every Aspect of MATHEMATICS so that you can pass every paper You may write on the subject. When You meet your MATHEMATICS Teacher, the very first thing you will be thinking is NOT THE PERSON PER SAY BUT RATHER THE SUBJECT HE IS TEACHING YOU, WHICH IS MATHEMATICS.. Our Shuyukh are the TEACHERS who TEACHES us Allah, when we see them We quickly Remember about Allah and the Best Time to Remember Allah is when You Engages in ZIKR. Our Beloved Prophet Said in One Hadiths, ﺧﻴﺎﺭ ﻋﺒﺎﺩ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﻣﻦ ﺇﺫﺍ ﺭﺃﻱ ﺫﻛﺮ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ, ﻭﺍﻟﺸﺮﺍﺭ ﻋﺒﺎﺩ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﺍﻟﻤﺸﺎﺋﻮﻥ ﺑﺎﻟﻨﻤﻴﻤﺔ, ﺍﻟﻤﻔﺮﻗﻮﻥ ﺑﻴﻦ ﺃﺣﺒﺔ Translation. The best among the Servants of Allah are those when you see them they REMIND You of Allah and the worse of Men are those who spread gossip and create Divisions among LOVERS. 4. Trying as Much as Possible to understand the meanings of the Various Azkar One recite during ZIKR. i.e, a murid should try to understand all the words that comprises the istigfar, salat Alan Nnabiyi and Laa ilaaha illa Allah. 5. One should make an INTENTION( NIYA) Before starting his Awrads. 6. One should recite both morning and evening zikr in a Silent manner and the same should happen when reciting both wazifa and hailala alone if he is doing it without congregation. 7. The Zikr should be done on the same intonation without some group moving too FAST and some people moving too slow, so as to have conformity with the voice. 8. One Should be Composed and concentrate AFTER FINISHING Reciting your Awrads without Quickly jumping into doing different thing especially worldly stuffs. Most of us will quickly pick our phone and start browsing the moment we finish our awards. Is a Su’ul Adab lets try to desist from it. 9. One should not Quickly Eat Food or drink Water the Moment you Finish Your Azkar Unless with a Genuine Reason. The reason is that, they say food can make one easily loose the CONCENTRATION that is need from us after Our Azkar and Water also can quench the heat that is associated with the Zikr. So it is Not appropriate to eat any thing immediately after your azkar, let alone when you are in it. They say, you should allow at least THIRTY MINUTES to Pass by before you should either Eat Food or Drink Water. 10. It is also recommended for us to Combine both Wazifa and Hailala on Fridays after Asr, unless there is Strong Excuse that may prevent that. N.B. Some Scholars of this Tariqa have advised us to separate the Wazifa and Hailala. Unlike what is in Jawahirul Ma’ani i.e recite the Hailala and after that, we can recite the Wazifa after the Maghrib prayers, since most people will be engaging in an idle talk which will not benefit them. So any style among these two is allowed. Shall later bring the other Remaining ten Rules and Conditions.
