COOK AREA GARDEN CLUB EVENT Join the Cook Garden Club and others to enjoy gardening tips, Q & A sessions, a catered lunch, door prizes, drawings, country store shopping and a book signing. The featured speaker will be Jackie Clay Atkinson, a local self-sufficient farmer, author, speaker and contributor to Backwoods Home Magazine and the “Ask Jackie” blog. She grows and preserves a wide variety of fruits and vegetables and will be sharing her tips for successful gardening and much more. Come see this remarkable woman and perhaps schedule a tour of her homestead. The event is a great opportunity for gardeners from a wide area to meet at a central location, socialize, exchange ideas and just have some fun. The Cook Area Garden Club will be hosting the 8th District meeting of the State Horticultural Society Saturday, September 28 at the Mt. Iron Community Center, 8586 Enterprise Drive South in Mt.
