COOK RELIEF AFTER CRASH SUNDAY MARCH 09, 2014 CRAIG Cook admits the outcome of his last-bend crash with Nick Morris in the Ben Fund Bonanza on Sunday could have been much worse. Both riders escaped serious injury with Cook awarded victory in the individual Final at Leicester, although the Belle Vue and Edinburgh man was left to reflect on extensive mechanical damage. He said: “The whole thing practically is wrecked. The exhaust, the diamond, the mudguards, the forks, the wheels… just everything really, it’s a mess. The only thing I managed to save was the engine. “But in hindsight, that’s not the most important thing. The important thing is I’m ok, Nick’s ok, and we both walked away from something that could have been much worse. I wasn’t too bad thank goodness, I’m just a bit bruised and sore; my elbow mostly. The whole left side of my body took the brunt of the crash.”
