COOKING QUESTION #2 Hey Trish, I was hoping you could tell me the difference between roast beef and roast rib of beef? Thank you, Edel ANSWER: Hi Edel, Im guessing youre talking about Topside Roast Beef and Prime Rib? Topside, is exactly that, coming from the top of the animal. It is a tender cut, with no waste, very lean, very little fat (if any, depending on how its been cut). Prime Rib/Rib Roast is a really nice cut of beef for roasting; very, very tender, lots of marbling, fantastic flavour. It comes from the front rib area of the animal. If you are serving guests, this is the one I would go for. You can buy it on, or off the bone - on the bone makes a great impression on any dinner table. I hope that helps :-)
