COPIED AND SHARED FROM THE WHERE ARE THEY NOW FILES!!! Hello Everyone!! We want to welcome you back for this weeks selection from our, Where Are They Now Files!!!! As we head into the last work week of August, were happy to introduce you to Bernie. Bernie is an alum of Great Lakes Westie Rescue (GLWR) in Indiana. Heres Bernies story.....as told by BERNIE!!! It is tough to be 12 years old and suffer the loss of your family. But these humans, they just do not live forever, and we Westies ........ well, sometimes we outlive our humans. That is how I came to GLWR, I needed a new home. I was pretty depressed for awhile, and I slept a lot. I was a handsome fellow, but most humans thought I was too old and passed me by for younger dogs. But one day a great family with a cute little girl Scottie called. They thought I looked like the perfect gentleman to come and live at their house and keep Mrs. Whiskers, the Scottish lass, company. We hit it right off and “presto”, I had found my new forever home. Now I smile again and sit up to ask for treats. It has been several years since I left GLWR, but I am happy they helped me find my new home. Thanks for checking in! Love, Bernie
