CORINDI PUP UPDATE: After a very worrying night and syringe feeding the girls water to maintain hydration, we took all 5 to the vet for a health check. Great to report that all their organs seem to be working fine and no heart murmurs. We do have a problem with all of them called demodex. Bruno, Flash and Phil are not too bad. Lila and Minnie have puss infected sores all over their undercarriage. All 5 pups are now on antibiotics to stop the infection and also an injection for the demodex for the next 4 weeks. Being a new rescue, this has hit us hard. We are not officially a registered charity yet so fundraising is out, but if any one felt so kind to donate some money to our vet fund, it would be very appreciated. If you would be so kind to inbox the page and we can give you details. Thanks. We are looking at approx $500 to treat these 5 pups over 4 weeks. We will also need to purchase a special flea treatment that works with dogs that have demodex. Even though this is disappointing in a financial sense to start our rescue, We are still so happy that we have the chance to save these guys lives and make them healthy and happy before they move onto their next journey.
