CORMORANTS Last winter the Scottish National Anglers Association (SANA) organised a pilot count to assess the numbers of cormorants roosting and presumably fishing in Scottish inland waters. The results have been posted on the SANA website at https://dl.dropboxusercontent/u/47616133/SANA%27s%20Cormorant%20Count.pdf These results encouraged us to repeat the exercise this winter with hopefully wider participation from angling clubs, still-water fisheries, Rivers Trusts, Salmon Boards etc. SANA has sent the attached letter to its members, it is also on the RAFTS website and on the SANA website at https://dl.dropboxusercontent/u/47616133/SANA%27s%20Cormorant%20Count.pdf It is hoped that a high proportion of the night roosting sites will be identified and counts made. Those who can participate should use the form to be found in the second of the above web sites.
