CORNER STONE LAID FOR CONSTRUCTION OF COMMUNITY HALL AT BIMBAL, SATTARI Panaji, July 10, 2010 Member of Parliament, North Goa Shri Sripad Naik laid the foundation stone for construction of the community hall under MP Local Area Development fund at Bimbal in Sattari taluka today. The hall would be constructed at an estimated to cost around Rs.34.65 lakhs and is expected to be completed within eight months time period. Shri Sripad Naik, MP said that about 300 developmental projects have been taken up in North Goa under MPLAD funds, out of which 86 has been already inaugurated. He said, construction of the community hall at Bimbal, Sattari was a long pending demand has now been fulfilled. Speaking on the occasion Shri Narayan Navti, Additional Collector, North, lauded the efforts by Shri Sripad Naik, North Goa MP for taking up various people oriented developmental projects like construction of community halls, crematoriums, play grounds, school buildings, library buildings and allied activities during his tenure. Shri Navti urged to utilize the community hall for good purposes and assured to provide adequate facilities in the area. Shri Narahari Haldankar, Former Deputy Speaker, Shri Satyavijay Naik, Chairman, OBC Corporation also spoke on the occasion. Smt. Suvarna Gaonkar, Sarpanch of V. P. Khotode, Shri Narayan Mhalshekar, Deputy Sarpanch and Sarpanch and Members of various Panchayat were present on the occasion. Shri. Sakharam Gaonkar compered the function while Shri Bhalchandra Bhave proposed the vote of thanks.
