Matt Davis (Tigers) def Phil LeLieve 1 Rubber 3 gamers 31 points to 1 game 17 points. Phil has found out that it’s a big step up from being the best No2 and then being promoted to a No1. Matt’s game has certainly improved , but it’s still not quite good enough against the likes of Mark, Graeme, and Doggy. John Kostiw (Swans) def Dylan Leslie 1 Rubber 3 games 40 points to 2 games 24 points. The 64 year old beat the 17 year old. John used his 46 years of competition squash experience, together with winning shots, and minimal unforced errors to prevail over Dylan, who is very quick, but inexperienced, and tends to make far too many unforced errors. Michael Lethbridge (Tigers) def Helen Fuge 1 Rubber 3 games27 points to 5 points. Michael is in devastating form. No No3 can keep Helen down to 5 points. His unbeaten record continues. Frank Fitzgerald (Swans) def Adrian Roach 1 Rubber 3 games 27 points to 7 points.. Frank was just way too experienced , and cunning, for a hard trying, quick moving, but inexperienced Adrian. Demons V Jaguars Graeme Leslie (Jaguars) def Brett Arnold 1 Rubber3 games 28 points to 18 points. Doggy’s playing pretty good squash, so how good is Graeme playing?. But for Graeme to get 28 points means that at least one of the games was close. Simon Pyle (Jaguars) def Chanelle Upton 1 Rubber 3 games 36 points to 1 game 22 points. Simon plays a pretty good game, but so does Chanelle. He’s had the edge over her all season, but to Chanelle credit she gives it all she’s got every time she steps onto a squash court. Simon has only had 2 losses for the season, and they were to an experienced old codger. He should be playing as a No 1 next season. Marg Gillick (Demons) def Chris Reilly 1 Rubber 3 games 36 points to 2 games 32 points. Marg would be really pleased with this win, winning i5 and only 4 points separating them, Chris would also be pleased because when they last met Marg beat him 3/0 There was no Thursday Night Comp due to the school holidays.
