COROWA RSL SQUSH Monday Night Comp Rd 12 Jaguars def Rebels 2 Rubbers 7 games 81 points to 2 Rubbers 6 games 70 points. (not much in it) Mark Nesbitt (Rebels) def Graeme Leslie 1 Rubber 3 games 27 points to 1 game 17 points. A game of extremes, the games that Mark won he won fairly easily and the game that Graeme won he won 9/0. Not too many players can keep Mark to no points, but in the end Mark was the victor. Simon Pyle (Jaguars) def Jane Bromwich 1 Rubber 3 games 27 points to 9 points. Simon is running into form, and has had some easy wins of late. He’s running well, and following it up with good shots. Prepare yourself to be playing as a number 1 next season Simon. Mark Massey (Rebels) def Alan Glen 1 Rubber 3 games 27 points to 10 points. Mark was just too experienced for Allan. It’s apparent from the shots that Mark does that he’s played a fair amount of squash in the past, and at a reasonable level. Allan always tries hard, but inexperience can be a hindrance. Chris Reilly(Jaguars) def Rory Stones 1 rubber 3 games 27 points to 7 points. Rory always tries hard, but Chris was too experienced for him. Rory knows the 2 most important rules of squash, he just has to implement them. Demons def Tigers 3 rubbers 9 games 102 points to 1 Rubber 6 games 93 points. Brett Arnold (Demons) def matt Davis 1 rubber 3 games 37 points to 2 games 30 points . This was a big improvement from Matt because when they met earlier he only got 18 points (all be it he got a game). Doggy’s a pretty handy player and is having a good season. To go to 5 with Doggy is a fair effort. Chanelle Upton (Demons) def Dylan Leslie 1 Rubber 3 games 35 points to 1 game 29 points. This was Chanelle’s first win for the season and she was wrapped. Dylan is very quick, but makes too many unforced errors. If he eliminated these from his game he’d be a lot better player. Michael Lethbridge (Tigers) def Jamie Warner 1 rubber 3 games 27 points to 4 points. Michael’s undefeated season continues. Marg Gillick (Demons) def Adrian Roach 1 Rubber 3 games 27 points to 6 points. Marg was too experienced for Adrian and just kept hitting the ball to where Adrian wasn’t That’s what the games all about. Thursday Night Comp Rd 12 Played 24 October 2013 There were a number of our players who went to help fight the fires so there were a number of matches not played. This is a legitimate excuse. The devastated communities would have been grateful for their efforts. Wombats V Galahs Jim McGrath (Wombats) def Chanerlle Upton 1 rubber 3 games 45 points to 27 points, Chanelle as always tried hard, but Jim was just too experienced. Luke Nichols (Galahs) def Frank Fitzgerald 1 Rubber 3 games 27 points to 20 points. As shifty as Frank is, Luke was just too quick, and got to many of Frank’s normally winning shots. Echidnas V Emus Chris Rubbechi (Emus) def Matt Davis 1 Rubber 3 games 45 points to 27 points. Matt’s playing pretty good squash, so how good is Chris playing if he can beat Matt 3/0 Zane Culhane (Emus) def Fiona Grigg 1 Rubber 3 games 57 points to 1 game 43 points. Fiona always tries her hardest, but on the night Zane had her measure. Jason Carroll (Emus) def Matt Menz 1 rubber 3 games 45 points to 14 points. Both players are very inexperienced, but Matt was the more inexperienced. Kangaroos d V Lions Brett Arnold (filling in for Rohan Sorensen) def Dylan Leslie 1 rubber 3 games 45 points 27 points. Both players ran well, but Doggy made less mistakes than Dylan, and this resulted in him winning the match Simon Pyle (Lions) def Gerard Bevan 1Rubber 3 games 45 points to 27 points. Simon should be playing as a number 1, so it’s not unexpected that he’d beat Gerard 3/0. Gerard’s quick, but inexperienced, Simon is quicker and experienced. Jason Carroll (filling in for Mandy Reidy) def Adrian Roach 1 Rubber 3 games 50 points to 2 games 43 points. The closest match of the night, with Jason getting up in a close 5 setter
