CORRECTION!!! I apologise for the earlier post of KickStart Project which had an incorrect deadline for applications. The correct one should read as follows: KICK START INVESTING IN THE YOUTH Kick start is a youth (18-35 years) entrepreneurship development programme of Kgalagadi Beverages Trust (KBT), the social investment arm of Kgalagadi Breweries (Pty) Ltd that was launched in 2004. The programme is aimed at creating a culture of entrepreneurship among young people by promoting business awareness through: • Providing business skills training. • Providing 100% grants as Start-up capital or to take your business to the next level. Grants range from P10 000 to P250 000. • Providing mentorship and assistance during the implementation of the business idea. The programme is open to all types of business ideas which can impact the community they operate in and Botswana as a whole. When selecting projects, judges look for innovation and sustainability of the business ideas. Get your APPLICATION FORM from KBL offices and depots around the country. RULES: 1. The competition is only open to Batswana between the age of 18 and 35 years. 2. All the applicants must be prepared to run and manage their businesses on a full-time basis. 3. All applications should reach the Kick Start Office at Kgalagadi Breweries (Pty) Ltd by 14th November 2014. 4. Faxed entries will not be accepted. 5. The judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into the applications. 6. The grant amount given to a project will be at the discretion of the judges and the KBT Board of Trustees. 7. Winners must be prepared to be photographed, to travel to Gaborone, and participate in publicity and/or follow-up stories to be published in the media. 8. Entries which do not contain all the necessary attachements will not be considered. 9. Application forms and attachements shall NOT be returned to applicants. 10. The competition is open to Botswana citizens. Certified copy of ID to be attached. 11. Only successful applicants to be contacted. 12. Employees of KBL (including interns) and members of their immediate families are not eligible to participate in the Kick Start project. KBL reserves he right to make appropriate checks to confirm eligibility and if found in breach will be disqualified. 13.
