COSPLAY CASTING CALL: Its time to start working on the next part of Project Geek: Cosplay. I am looking for male & female cosplayers that will be willing to be photographed and interviewed for the project. There are a few stipulations however so please read: 1) You must be an active ongoing cosplayer. This means you go to conventions, participate in events, etc in costume. Not I got a costume to have my picture made. 2) You must make your own costume or assembled it. No off the shelf costumes anyone can buy at a costume store. Im looking for people who put time, money, and talent into the craft. 3) Your costume must represent a character or theme that is recognizable. This images will be viewed by people who do not cosplay so it will help if they understand who or what you are. 4) You must be willing to participate in a professional photo shoot. I am not doing pictures at conventions because they look like pictures at conventions. I want to do a portrait of your character that fits your character as if they were in the real world. 5) You must be willing to participate in a short interview and be photographed as you really are in everyday life. The goal of this is to create an editorial of cosplayers; who they are, what they do, and why they do it. If you dont know what cosplay is, then youre not who I am looking for (this time), if you think you know but are not sure your costume or is what I want drop me a note. But if you cosplay or know those that do I am looking to photograph enough people to create a table top book so please let me know if your interested.
