COUGARS JV ARE UNBEATEN AT 3-0 September 12, 2013 JV Soccer Calvary Cougars vs Union Grove Patriots Cougars went up against the Patriots at home Thursday for their first JV meeting. It was a great game to watch as both teams displayed soccer skills and great passing. Patriots scored first from a free kick given for a loose ball foul. Shot was very high and passed just under the top bar from about 24 yards out. But the Cougars were not to be denied when Isaac Salter scored off a corner kick to tie up the game. Shortly after, the Cougars took control and kept ball possesion for about 70% of the game. Caleb Salter Also scored, then Isaac Salter again aided by Bradly Polaria and Cole Persinger with assist. Defense and Halfbacks did an excellent job shutting down the offense of the Patriots and Goalie Will Cave was impenetrable.. Cougars won 3-1 to maintain their unbeaten record of 3-0.
