COUNCIL APPROVES LAND DEVELOPMENT TO PROVIDE NEW JOBS IN BRISTOL TOWNSHIP The Bristol Township Council recently approved a land development plan that will allow an existing Township business to expand their operation. Council President Bob Lewis said that the Township worked with American Breadcrumb Company for several months to get approval of an 18,000 square foot expansion that will create 20 new jobs. “I am pleased to have a great company like American Breadcrumb Company in Bristol Township and that they are growing their business here and expanding our tax base,” he said. The Council President said that the project was not a simple land development approval and the administration worked with the company to achieve their goal. The applicant had to obtain Zoning Hearing Board approval, vacate a portion of a Township highway, and acquire additional property prior to getting land development approval. “I think it is a feather in Bristol Township’s cap that a quality business like American Breadcrumb went to the lengths they did to stay in the Township,” he said. Financing for the project is being provided through the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority in conjunction with the Bucks County Economic Development Corporation. The total project cost is $1,725,000 with PIDA financing approved for $700,000. American Breadcrumb Company, located at 1425 Hanford Street, is a manufacturer, packager and distributor of the finest breadcrumbs to major food distributors, industrial processors and retail canister packaging companies. ### August 11, 2014
