COUNTRY WIDE CAR HIRE HINTS ON BULLETS SPONSORSHIP.. Barely four days after unveiling an K8 million Knock-out cup sponsorship for the Southern Region Football Association,the countrys leading car rental company,Country Wide Car Hire,has come out in the open and said they can sponsor Super League Champions Big Bullets FC on condition that Government gives them tax waiver on certain transactions. According to the companys Director,Mike Mlombwa,the decision comes after being approached by Bullets officials to help them in CAF Champions League.He said as a Malawian who loves football and an ex-official of the team,he is more than willing to help the team but said the exorbitant taxes are a burden to such a noble cause.He said if Govt can waiver certain taxes then they will have no problems in sponsoring the team saying its even good for the countrys football development. Bullets are without sponsorship with only two weeks to go before their first CAF assignment aginst Fomboni FC in Comoros.Their chairman Kondi Msungama has since revealed that they are under panic as there seems to be no ray of hope as regards sponsorship.
