COURAGE COMES FROM FAITH IN JESUS Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Courage comes from faith in Christ Jesus. It comes from believing totally what God says regardless of the situation or circumstance you are in. Courage comes from faith in what God says. Discouragement comes from fear and unbelief. It comes when you listen to Satan’s lies about what God won’t do for you. Satan wants to deceive you and put a seed of doubt in your mind. You and I are God’s children, heirs to His kingdom; we must shake off discouragement and rise up with total courage. Stop looking at your own human abilities, failures and limitations and start seeking a closer relationship with God. Rise up in the Name of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit. If you are or have been discouraged lately, STOP NOW; stop listening to the lies of Satan. Believe that God has already delivered you. Stamp Satan under your feet, that’s where he belongs; Christ Jesus has already defeated Satan. Realise now what God has given you and the power you have through the Holy Spirit, don’t let the Satan run all over you. God did not say ‘I think you must try be strong and courageous’ God COMMANDED that you be strong and courageous. Ephesians 6:10 “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.” 1 Peter 5:10 “And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.” Love Pastor Iain
